Michael Kightly says there is no danger of complacency creeping in against Reading as Wolves look to maintain their fine start to the season.
A run of seven successive wins after an opening-day draw at Plymouth has seen Mick McCarthy's side lead the table on 22 points and make their best start to a league campaign for 59 years.
Kightly, 22, expects the same work ethic from the players selected to face the Royals at Molineux.
"We're the only unbeaten team in the Championship, and everyone is trying to knock us off that pedestal. We know that and we're going to work hard to try to maintain this run," he told the club's website.
"If we lose a game, then it's all about how we react to it - and if we do lose, we can't all be doom and gloom. We kick on again.
"There's definitely no complacency. Maybe against Crystal Palace, we scored too early and took our foot of the gas - but that's the only game that's happened. We've been in people's faces working hard - and when we score, we try to score more.
"We will carry on doing the same and hope we can keep this run going. Reading are going to be tough opposition, but every game in this division is tough."
Wolves are without Chris Iwelumo - serving a three-match ban - so Andy Keogh should keep his place in attack alongside Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.
Reading manager Steve Coppell could be without captain James Harper (ankle), so youngster Jem Karacan is poised to continue his fledgling partnership with Brynjar Gunnarsson in the centre of midfield.
Charlton boss Alan Pardew has urged his team to bounce back from a weekend defeat to Sheffield Wednesday when they take on Crystal Palace in a south London derby at Selhurst Park.
"There's such a rivalry between the two clubs. After Saturday's result, we have put pressure on ourselves - and there is a lot riding on the result," Pardew told the club's website.
"I think the team now represents what Charlton fans have always demanded - a side that gives 100%, is always fighting and is better than the sum of its parts.
"Since we were relegated, some quality players have left The Valley. But now it's about developing and creating new players - and that's what I'm trying to do, together with my staff at every level of the club."
In tonight's other matches Doncaster face Sheffield United in a Yorkshire derby at the Keepmoat Stadium; Cardiff welcome Coventry; Burnley take on Watford at Turf Moor; Bristol City have a home clash with Plymouth, and Southampton clash with Norwich.
Elsewhere, Derby take on midlands rivals Birmingham; Sheffield Wednesday host Nottingham Forest; Blackpool make the trip to London to face QPR; Preston face Swansea at Deepdale - and Barnsley travel to Portman Road to face Ipswich.
