China delighted the home fans with a dominant victory in the men's team gymnastics competition on Tuesday.

They top-scored of five of the six pieces of apparatus, with only the floor causing them any problems at all.

China's six-man team of Huang Xu, Wei Yang, Yibing Chen, Xiaopeng Li, Kai Zou and Xiao Qin produced the more difficult routines to post a final score of 286.125 points.

They was some way ahead of Japan, who took silver with 278.875.

USA (275.850) pipped Germany (274.600) for the bronze medal.
