Well done all and thanks to the National Lottery for providing facilities to assit excellence, facilities missing in UK sport for decades. I suppose the Government who have been lax in support for decades will claim credit though

I cant begin to say how proud I am to be British today, WELL DONE TEAM GB! The girls and guys in the pool, on the bikes and on the lake today have been awesome!! Especially after the awful comments of Michael Johnson the other night saying how bored he has been waiting for the athletics to start and that world records don't really mean anything unless they are broken on the track!!!! My husband being American was quite ashamed of him and called him an elitest pig. Go Becky!!! Well Done everyone!!

Well done to all the GB athletes, not just the medal winners. They should all be so proud of themselves for getting to the olympics. It makes me proud to be british when you see how well the team have done, especially 9 medals in one day. Good Luck Team GB.

Congratulations to Great Britain. I feel great pride in what we are acheiving, even when we do not medal we have been in so many finals. I am in the US and the NBC coverage sucks so when they put a swimming 800m race on and Rebecca won I was screaming and jumping that it scarred people. Go England, Go England

Guy Osborn says...

Well done all you Great British athletes. God save the queen. Cry "Havoc" and let slip the dogs of war! Cry God for Harry, England and Saint George!

Stuart Morgan says...

I am disappointed that Gary Sumner only congratulates medal winners. Of course I echo his remarks but it also makes me feel proud to be represented by these guys. I congratulate all competitors from the UK and around the world, they work so hard to hone their particular abilites to compete at this level. The equestrian team did us proud again especially when you consider they have to depend on the fitness and approach of the animal in addition to their own efforts. Well done all of you, if you're clean and trying hard, winning medals is a bonus.
