ok, enuff of this, usain bolt, what a brilliant breathtaking run, he is a terrific athlete, and deserves all the credit he gets, but not on ur life is he the greatest olimpian of all time, for example, Sir Steve, he was on top of his game for 20 years, a gold medal every 4 years 5 golds 20 years, michela phelps is stunning in the water and has won more golds that u can shake a stick at, and is still onlt 23 2012 here he comes, jesse owens, yes ok was in the hitler games but wot a performer. I have made my point yes usuian bolt is right up there, nd certainy has enought talent and heart to be a great olimpian, possobly the greatest olimpian one day, but no quite yet, som of the golden oldies will have something to say!!!

As much as I'm sure lots and lots of people around the world would agree that we are all tired seeing Americans dominate this sprint athletics for as long as some of us have been alive. There are issues I would like to emphasise here. 1) It's either human beings are getting faster and growing into a true Jet Age or as I hear, that there a thousand and one steroids or enhancement substances of which some are either banned and and traceable in urine and blood and some are part of the athletes' approved cocktail of pain and fatigue relief and immune boosting drugs. 2) It has also become very obvious that there may be some form of beaurocracy and prejudice in the US team selection. The result of which is usually a disaster. 3) Age and Stature - Usain Bolt reminds of Michael Phelps and vice versa. These boys are 21, 23, over 6,3 inches tall, lean and strong. They are athletes. They were trained for this. They have prepared for this. For a man who has broken two (2) world records in the 100 and 200 metres category, I can only say, you have age on your side, the build and physique of a cheetah and a good humor with all your gesticulations on camera and therefore not being too serious and so not putting yourself under unwanted pressure, may your reign be long, Bolt. You are worthy!

Indeed, an amazing performance. I don't mind his little show of so called "bravado", he was caught in the moment and run with it. But, Wow, the americans are really blowing up all their pre-olympic hype. A shame for them, but tremendous wins for Jamaica. Ha Ha, I hope the IOC don't go testing the island yellow Yam, Dasheen and Ackee for banned substances. Hopefully, we learn from their efforts for 2012 and maybe, give those youths who have taken to youth crime in our cities something to aspire to. Who knows, it could be a wonderful rewarding outlet and produce more track and field athletes in addition to cycling, rowing etc!!

I think thsi guy is just great! What surprises me is that he seems to slow down when finishing. Looks like the records will be short-lived at this rate. Well done Usain, Well done Jamaica. Kudos to the female sprinters from Jamaica too.

What can I say SIMPLY THE BEST and as for all those negative comments from America I can't think of a nation who shows off more than they do all I can say to them is does the term GREEN EYED MONSTER ring any bells.

He has elevated the sport to a different level. Probably the name which will echo for ages. A sub 9.5 and a sub 19 looks a possibility. C'mon teach these Yankees a lesson or two in the sprints.

What is the chair of the IOC watching. At no time did Usain Bolt show any disrespect to other runners. If you have trained for 4 years surely you can celebrate your win with a little dance to show your happiness and for other to join in with you. Usain (drug free) has put a smile on all our faces. How can you stop the music and th dancing which is the heart beat of the Caribbean people. You got to love it! Please make sure my name is on the guest ist when he gets home to have his party. These are iconic moments that we will never forget. Let the party begin! One Lovex Earl

Usain Bolt has proved himself on the big stage, something his fellow countryman Asafa Powell could not. He not only won 2 Olympic golds, he smashed the world records in both events and could have ran under 9.6 secs in the 100m if it werent for his arrogant showboating. However, take nothing away from the great man. He is still the fastest sprinter the world has ever seen!!

Logan Reid says...

its disappointing and disturbing that the IOC chief should use the aftermath of one of the olypics greatest achievement to make some cowardly comment about usain. i don't know where this pompous ass come off telling usain how he should behave. we are a long way from people telling us how we should act, and this inherent racist trait should have no place in anyone dealing with the olympics...be glad for him you envious no talent git. Jamaica all the way.

He is de man!!I have not seen any athlete dominate his competitors lyk he does, the others dont even come close to him when they sprint, its lyk a 15yr old running against an 8yr old,its shocking,u dont even see who's coming in second until they show a replay, bcos u dont see the other athletes on the screen when he's in full flight
