I think the guy is just great, there are many people out there that are using jealousness to paint a picture. Well fair enough, I think they should wait and the international committe to past that judgement. Many who are speaking, dont have any vaild opinion anyway, If it was there country man or woman I think the oponion would be different. Bolt is just great, you can take it away from him look at the way the guy behave in front the cam, it show that he very confident of himslef and what he is doing.

Peter Obasa says...

To think he broke the 100m world record(which he owned), with such ease and much more to spare, and again the 200m record. Trully awesome, a great athlete he indeed his. Glad for once, its coming from an athlete other than from the USofA. Now the whole world can enjoy true,"clean", and committed athlete perform.

Steven Profitt says...

The last time we saw someone so dominant in the sprints was Ben Johnson in 88' where unfortunately drugs were involved. It was obvious to 99% of people he was on something though. This guy is muscular but doesn't look like a powerhouse which makes me think he's clean. He has a long stride and awesome technique. He's got a long way to go yet but I think we've seen perhaps the greatest sprinter of all time.

Poor Country we dont need money, we have the best high school system in the world. we have been loosing athlete to US and the UK & Canada even bahrain for years and the goverment and private sector has been trying to give some of these athlete scholorships to local universities and it is paying off all of the athlete that won medal for jamaica with the exception of Kerron Stewart are based in jamaica. can you imagine if we had Jermaine Mason, Sanya Richards had some civic pride and participated for their true home land. and dont forget Christie and Donovan Bailey were both born in jamaica as well so dont be too surprise that the "super powers" are stumbling at the feet of the Black Green and Gold. Jmaiaca To the World

Americans a sore losers, always wanna be on top of the world. For years they have been juicing up their athletes and the can't now and it show. Jamaica talented always, but had to work with the odds against them. Too much world power America have but thats politics, this is pure human speed. Nuff luv Jamaica

Warren Alexander says...

the greatest olympian ever showboating ofcourse when the americans were on top they were doing more showboating than that of the great usain congatulation you make our country proud.

Posted 18:42 20th August 2008

Chris Uzoh says...

He may be show boating, but he has certainly not shown all. He won the 100m, set a record, without running the last 10metres. He has a lot in reserve and I believe if anyone tries to close the gap, he will unleash more. You have a long way to go, Bolt, keep it up. You are the greatest.

Ali S says...

These records are incredible, he is leaving his fellow athletes behind in his tracks. Phelps's achievement was awesome, but when you consider the distance he is beating people by in the most important two races in the Olympics, he has to be the most awesome Olympian/athlete of all time.

Jermaine Mckoy says...

John yo wonder if he fancies the 400m well i will have you know that he ran 45.37 i think as a 16 year old

Gavin Nyawata says...

this man is by far the fastest thing on two legs!!!!! it is a privilage to observe his unique yet technically sound running style , he really is a breath fo fresh air and has reignited a once tainted discipline......this truly is a new golden era!!!

Gbonju Fanimokun says...

As an athlete, I respect him. What he has achieved is AMAZING in such a small space of time. However, he comes across as cocky to me...I'm not a fan, but credit where credit is due. Well done Usain!

Posted 18:10 20th August 2008

Peter Fisher says...

Unlike previous sprint champs, Usain Bolt's physique lends a clue to how future sprint records will be bettered. He has acheived this because of his height, stride pattern and well proportioned body, and the kind of co-rdination that has never before seen in such a tall athlete. If he chose to include thte long jump in his repetoire, who knows what he could do with that....

Posted 18:07 20th August 2008

Ramon L says...

We here are very proud to witness "justice" in the sprint events because for far too long the use of illegal drugs by other athletes has tainted the glory of athletes such as Merlene Ottey, Juliet Cuthbert, Grace Jackson and may more. Usain has now set two world records which makes him one of the greatest of all times and superhuman. We are proud of all our athletes...respect
