What a breath of fresh air, no brooding just magnificent sprinting. I wish Bolt and Johnson could have competed together, 19.80 might have been possible. Long live the king.

Usain Bold with winning the 100m and 200m sprints at the Beijing 2008, creating two world records in both these sprints at the Olympics is the greatest sprinter of all time. Further he could improve on these records and possibly win again at the next summer olympics at London 2012. Much credit should also be given to Jamica which has produced such great sprinters both in the Men and women sections. Track and Field events are the most interesting sports to see, especially the 100m men and women finals. This is the only event in the world by which one is crowned the Fastest Man or Fastest woman in the world, no other performance by any individual in any other professional or amature sport can achieve. Usain Bold is the greatest Athlete in the world, surparsing even the great Carl Lewis Michael Johnson and Jessie Owens, because he is the only one to create Olympic and world records in both the 100m and 200m at the same Venue and same Olympics at Beijing 2008 without full effort. leaving the rest of the field far behind.

Amazing... The athlete of not only this olympics but of all time... these two world records were the greatest achivment of all time, better than Tiger Woods better than Pele better than Roger Federer better than Michael Phelps. Usain Bolt is the greatest athlete to ever walk on this earth and he is only going to get better. He is only 22 tomorrow, wait and see what he is like in the world championship next year. I just hope to god he stays injury free.

It's no coincidence that as soon as the Balco labs closed the American dominance in sprinting ended. It's made the accomplishments of the Juliet Cuthberts and Merlene Otteys even that much more impressive against the juiced up Americans. Usain is absolutely a man among boys. Unbelievable athlete and I'm a proud Jamaican. We are truly the sprint capital of the world. Keep going Usain, don't listen to the detractors, pump the fist and beat the chest while smashing world records. It's your time, enjoy it, don't let the haters distract you. Big up to the women as well, 1-1-1 in the 200 final tomorrow!

It's just that the Doping tests have become more tougher nowadays... hard for Americans to cheat the system now. No wonder this time... Americans are missing in all track events big time and not even a single world record from an American till now. Bolt is the real deal.

what exactly does funding or resources have to do with his ability to run fast? you dont need multi-million pound training facilities or any of the other rubbish, just the obscene natural talent that Bolt obviously has and the right attitude; one which means he will put in the hard work and dedication needed to fulfill that potential.

This was unreal. I watched him shatter both records and he seems to do it with such ease. I hope he can maintain his form and prove to be a real Olympic legend. It's wrong to knock the guy but I think people get carried away talking about all time greats off the back of just 1 great Olympic games.

Bolt has done it for Jamaica and will now be having a celebratory meal of chicken nuggets. I for one will be running down to McD's in 19.3 seconds to have some of my own - McD's in this case being only 2 doors down the street

I think for the first time in a long time, he is a sprinter with the right balance of muscle, not too much, not too little, but the optimum amount, as compared to maurice greene. He deserves all the credit he is getting, big up Usain Bolt.
